About Matt Blasses

matt_blasses_mortgageWhy Matt Blasses Should be Your Mortgage Specialist
It can be difficult choosing a loan officer to trust with your mortgage. You don’t always know the knowledge or experience they have. To make your choice a little easier, here is a brief history of my mortgage career.

I’ve Been in the Mortgage Industry Since 1994
I started my mortgage career in 1994, at Mutual Financial Services, Inc. As we grew and expanded, the name was changed to Mutual Mortgage Corporation.
In 1994, interest rates had just risen dramatically after their lows in 1993. As a result, a lot of seasoned loan officers were competing for what little business was out there. Real estate agents, none of whom seemed too happy when a salesman walked in their office, generated all mortgage leads.

I Knew Knowledge Was the Best Way to Get Ahead
I was 20 years old, unsure of myself, and not a very good salesman. All of this added up to a tough first year for me. I decided I had to make some changes, and the best way to do that was to gain product knowledge. I read everything I could get my hands on regarding mortgages, buying homes, and refinancing. I talked to bank representatives and took classes. I did everything I could to find out as much as possible about mortgages.

Professionals Come to Me for Mortgage Questions
Pretty soon, real estate agents started calling me with their financing questions. My colleagues took notice shortly thereafter, and I became the go-to-guy for product questions. I was quickly promoted to Operations Manager at Mutual Mortgage, a position I retained until late in 2007.

My Career Reflects My Knowledge
All of my research and experience has paid off. Today, I am employed with Mortgage Now as a mortgage specialist. I bring a wealth of knowledge and integrity to the mortgage business. If you are looking for a mortgage from a professional who really knows his stuff, give me a call. I won’t waste your time.

Sincerely,
Matt Blasses
